Winter wonderland with Sizzix and Tim Holtz dies

Hello!
Soon we are in the busy season of Christmas card making.

I created this winter themed tri-step scenery card two weekends ago when I attended a lovely weekend long crafting event "Korttitalkoot" in Western Finland. During the long weekend the crop participants were given fun challenges to play along. One of them was to create a project (card, tag, scrapbooking layout, ...) using all die-cut elements from this recently released Sizzix / Tim Holtz set:

The die-cut images are wonderful, but using all of them on one single project was quite a challenge! After some consideration I remembered a folded card layout I had used years ago. It was perfect for this project! (template for my original tri-step card is here - this time I just used three panels instead of two)

I had only a limited amount of supplies with me, and Christmas themed patterned papers I had not taken with me. However, I had my small scrap paper bag with me, and those light blue / teal coloured papers were luckily just enough big to be used for the card panels.

The nice thing about this card design is that it folds fully flat. Mailing it in a standard envelope will not be an issue at all.

The beautiful snowflake was too big for the card front, so I ended up cutting it into smaller pieces. The branches of the snowflake turned into snow covered trees on the background panel.

I was so pleased with the outcome. Nobody could tell that the lovely scenery was created using a standard white folded square card base and some pieces of scrap papers! Lol!

Wishing you a lovely weekend!
