Two layouts with soft blue colours

Hi!
Today I'm sharing with you two layouts showcasing pictures of my dear son. Both layouts have a smooth blue colour palette, enriched with some soft earth tones. Blue is not my most often used colours, but sometimes it's nice to take colours or materials that are not in everyday use.

For these two layouts the main source of inspiration was the background paper. The patterns are different, but I think they both match nicely to the chosen pictures.

The branches on the first layout were die-cut using a Simon Says Stamp die. Simon Says Stamp has lovely designs in their product portfolio, I wish they had presence in Europe, too (avoiding to pay additional taxes and transportation costs would be a big plus!)

To decorate the backgrounds I used inks and stencils, and on the second layout I framed the page with  pieces of patterned tissue paper. To avoid the frame to draw too much attention I white washed it and parts of the background with white gesso.

That nice brick wall die is from Gummiapan collection.

Wishing you a nice day! Thanks for stopping by!
