I love to decorate my scrapbook pages with flowers. Most of the flowers you see on my layouts are self-made i.e. stamped, fuzzy-cut, or die-cut, but I also like to use beautiful ready-made floral embellishments.
This page contains flowers die-cut with a Sizzix / Tim Holtz Thinlits die set ('Modern Floristry'). I like their bit grungy natural shape and the fact that they don't look similar to any other floral dies.
Also the header is cut with Tim Holtz dies (set 'Bold Text #1')
When layering the embellishments I used 3D foam squares to lift part of the flowers from the background. I never create very 'high' projects even if there are many layers of elements, but a bit of dimension is always needed! A few foam squares don't make the page too bulky, as I want to store my pages in protective plastic folders in binders.
This blooming layout makes me smile. Hope it inspires you, too!
