Scrapbooking layout: Togetherness

Hi!
I have nice collection of embroidery yarn in my stash, and in addition to cross stitching and embroidery I like to hand sew on my scrapbook pages. The ultimate inspiration for hand sewn patterns and decorations is Paige Taylor Evans; her stitched layouts are stunning!

For this page is used one of Paige's stitching cut files ('Love Heart'); sewing the chain stitches was super easy, as the Silhouette machine had cut the heart shaped stitching marks on the paper. Finishing the heart took a while, but it was well worth the effort.

Since I created this page, my chain stitches have improved a lot (take a look here); nowadays my stitched lines look much smoother. Nevertheless, I like this layout; it reminds me of these special moments spent together with my hubby.

Are you familiar with sewing on your paper crafting projects? Which do you prefer: machine sewn or hand made stitches?

Hugs,
