Scrapbooking layout with a Pinkfresh Studio floral banner

Hello Friends,

Today I wanted to show you a 12" scrapbooking layout highlighting a lovely floral banner, a digital cut file by Pinkfresh Studio. Isn't that banner beautiful!

I have dozens of cut files stored on my computer, but when I found the Pinkfresh collection of cut files I couldn't resist but had to purchase a couple of them. Take a look here; I'm sure you will love them, too!

I used various scrap paper pieces to back the flowers and banner ribbons. Paige Taylor Evans has great tutorials on how to back the cut image. It takes a bit of effort and also a little time, especially if there are lots of detailed elements. But then again decorating the cut image is pure crafting mindfulness!

The background paper is from 49 and Market (Sherbet Foundations).
Before gluing down the banner I added more colour with Distress inks and stencilled splash patterns with white gesso. That 'Sparrow Hill Scraped Off' 5'x8' texture stencil by Ciao Bella has become my favourite, and since purchasing I have used it often.

Text marks on the background are stamped with grey ink (my most used stamp 'Texts' by Wycinanka; I have a couple of them 😀).

In order to avoid the pictures to face into the background I framed the pictures with simple chain  stitches. I think that hand-sewn elements bring a bit of dimension but also a hint of softness to the projects. You see quite many embroidered elements on my projects.

I think that the page looks quite nice. I need to use my Silhouette Cameo more often!

Wishing you a nice Sunday,
hugs,
