This layout took quite a while to finish. Or actually putting the elements on the page was a quick thing once I had figured out how to use the geometrical background piece I had fuzzy cut months ago. I loved the geometrical shapes and the beautiful colours of the paper, but could not really figure out which background paper, photo or embellishment would work with it. Suddenly the beautiful pattern became too dominant to be used as a background element.
The grungy background paper by 7 Dots studio was not one of my true favourites, but as a bold pattern it was just the right base for the geometrical triangles. To avoid the page to become too busy I added plenty of similar floral embellishments; the colours for the stamped flowers and leaves I picked up from the background triangles.
The 49 and market rub on transfers are my favourites!
