Here's a 12" layout I made a short while back. The photo is all about sunshine and good moods, and I wanted to capture those cheerful summer vibes on my page.
The background paper is from 49 and Market 'Spectrum Sherbet' collection and in addition to some text patterns it had a nice painted pink circle on it. To match the yellow colour on the photo I added some yellow paint brush strokes and bright green paint splashes on the background and embellished the page by layering various floral elements around the photo.
The die-cut flowers are from an old BasicGrey set. They used to be my favourite brand when I started scrapbooking years ago, so sad that they are no longer in the paper crafting business. These embellishments had been sitting in my stash for a while already; the package stated they were manufactured in 2011. Yes, time to take them into use!
Some of the flowers were made of paper, some had a nice canvas surface. I added more texture by decorating two flowers with hand stitching.
I'm really happy with the layout. It's a page filled with sunshine and summer fun!
Thanks for stopping by. Wishing you a wonderful summer day!
