Hello!
Today I wanted to share with you a collection of cards I made with Carabelle stamps and texture plates.
Looking at the Carabelle images always brings back nice memories of the most heartfelt design team; oh, how I miss working with those talented people! It was a great sadness that Alexis decided to close the business, but we all understood that there were not too many other options for him...
Local resellers have still a good offering of Carabelle products, but once the stock is gone, there will be no stock replenishments. So act quickly if you still want to get your favourite Carabelle product!
Luckily the great quality products will continue to bring joy and inspiration for the years to come!
I fell in love with this little girl image. So nice to colour, and the image can be used for so many different kinds of projects. Changing the colour palette changes the entire look and feel. Perfect!
I stamped the balloons on a white paper, coloured them, and fuzzy cut. When cutting, I did not include the cords at all, but re-stamped them directly on the card background. Then I just glued the coloured and fuzzy cut balloons on the stamped image.
This kind of partial layering is a simple way to include thin or detailed stamped elements on your card (especially if you don't want to leave a white boarder around the thin lines).
The upper stamped images I coloured with alcohol markers, but for colouring this last one I used colour pencils. The craft cardstock is soft and porous, and alcohol markers just soak right into the paper making colour blending quite tricky.

Aren't the texts awesome? đ
Here I used embroidery yarn as the air balloon cords.
However, colour pencils love craft cardstock! The soft grey/brown paper makes the colour pencils really pop. Have you tried that craft paper - clour pencils combo already?
