November Mixed Media Card Challenge has a beautiful theme: Family. Theme and timing could not have been more perfect, as in Finland we were celebrating Father's day on Sunday. My family themed card was made for my husband.
Here's my take on the challenge:
I started with coloring the background with Distress Paints:
Foxes are die-cut from white watercolour paper using two different Sizzix fox die sets. For colouring I used a few orange and yellow watercolour tones. The fox parents are simply glued down on the card front, and the little foxes are attached using 3D foam tape.
Card title is die-cut using Tim Holtz 'Handwritten Love' die set. I cut the title twice to make the word a bit thicker. Thin and delicate die cuts may be difficult to adhere with glue, and for this double card title I used thin two sided tape on the upper die-cut word (adhered on the back of the cardstock before cutting).
Leaves on the bottom of the card are fuzzy cut from a patterned paper I had in my stash.
Once the card fron was finished my kids wrote their own greetings on the back of the card. Size of this card was bit bigger than normal (13.5 cm x 17 cm / 5.5" x 6 3/4"), so there was plenty of space for their writings♥.
Hugs,
IHANA!!! =)
