Today Allt Om Scrap team introduces you to Birgit Edblom, a super talented card maker, who also made this great card sketch for our November challenge:
Birgit has also given us a great price to give away for one lucky winner:
Here's my take on the sketch - a simple Christmas card with die-cut embellishments:
I started with dabbing a white border around the edges. For this I cut a piece of scrap cardstock, rounded the edges, and placed it on the card front. After drying the paint with a heat gun I repeated the steps on the inside of the card.
The branch is die-cut from dark brown cardstock using the Sizzix/Tim Holtz die 'Christmas Cardinal' from two years back. The snow on the branch is white embossing powder.
I love the new Christmas die-set from Sizzix, "Ornaments". In this set there are altogether 9 dies, and with them you can create many different Christmas ornaments. And for this you don't need much paper; I made my ornaments from small leftover pieces of patterned papers.
For adding some dimension on the card I attached the ornaments to the card front with 3D foam stickers.
This card design is very simple and fast to make - perfect for mass-creating a pile of Christmas cards on one go. Hope you like it!
Have a great day. Thanks for stopping by!
Fabulous :)
