October is a pink month. Breast cancer charities around the world aim to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure. The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer.
Allt Om Scrap team wanted to give this theme special attention, and reminded us all to support the charity work for this important cause. The team members used this below image as their inspiration:
Here's my project - inspired by the strong, brave and bold women facing this disease.
And no matter what, yet so beautiful, wonderful, and awesome. 100% woman. Irresistible.
The basis of this tag is a regular manila tag, and I started with stamping the image with black Archival Ink on it. I covered the image with masking fluid; it kept the image clean while misting, painting and stamping the background.
I love the Dina Wakley stamps; the bold images are perfect for various mixed media projects.
When the mists and paints had dried, I removed the masking fluid layer, and colored the image with inks and stamping. I did not want to color the image completely, as I liked the contrast between the darker background and the lighter image.
Wishing you a lovely Sunday. Take care,
Beautiful tag and love the white ink on top of everything.
