Layout for Creative Scrappers DT: Music man

Hi to You,
Time to reveal another great sketch of Creative Scrappers! The sketch is just perfect for showcasing your summer vacation instagram photos, don't you think!

I used two instagram pictures I took last summer. On the photos my son is listening to his favorite music on iPad; I love the concentrated look on his face when he's selecting songs to play :)

The lovely background paper is from We R Memory Keepers Inked collection ('Inked Rose'). The paper had pink, yellow and turquoise color splashes, and for the layout center I selected papers that had similar colors. Using pink on a boyish layout may be tricky, but I thought the fun Sassafras paper images balanced the softness of the background, and the overall feeling did not get too girly. My son doesn't mind at all that I use pink with his photos, as he does like pink a lot - he has learned the love for that color from his big sister :D

The stitched square behind the photo is actually golden vellum - you just don't see it's shimmer that well in these photos :)

Brown embellishments are cut with Cameo.

Flowers are stamped and embossed on white cardstock, cut out, and sewn on the background.
